Gartner Technology Consulting conducted a survey and found that IT spending in Brazil in 2015 should amount to $ 116 billion, slightly below the original forecast of $ 125 billion. The lower number reflects the economic moment that the country is experiencing, which is causing companies to be more cautious when investing.
To Henrique Cecci, director of research and data center market Gartner Brazil, professionals are pressured to do more with less and deliver solutions to meet market demands. “They have a responsibility to show how companies can optimize costs,” the analyst based on the CIO agenda for 2015 study, which surveyed 2800 executives around the world.
With this pressure to reduce costs and operate more agility and security, IT infrastructure and data center is the number one priority on the agenda of Brazilian CIOs for 2015, behind the solutions for data analysis and business management systems.
