A survey recently released by EF Corporate Solutions pointed out that the Brazilian people are the most motivated to attend training. The study surveyed thousand senior executives of professional development area in ten countries, including Brazil, and the result was quite interesting.

The survey indicated that 62% of Brazilians HR professionals believe that its employees are very willing to participate in courses and training, while 35% say they are “very willing”. Worldwide, 44% say they are very motivated. The commitment of the Brazilian comes mainly from the possibility of recognition within the company (57%), followed by the ability to autodesenvolver (45%).

In addition, 49% of Brazilians, the responsibility to motivate employees to seek training and development should be the professionals themselves – less than the global average of 54%. Have to 39%, should be a combination of available own professionals with the company.

This is the overall result, but, in the case of the IT industry specifically, we will surely find percentage even higher. In an area that requires constant updating, this trend is amplified and translates the search for improvement. An example is the growth in the search for innovative and agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).

It is no coincidence that the demand for these methods is growing every day. The SAFe, for example, is becoming more popular in large companies that make use of agile methodologies such as Scrum, facilitating their widespread adoption and giving even more efficiency to their development areas.

Increasing the demand on the one hand, on the other expands the number of professionals in search of preparation to meet it. It is clear to them – and for the rest of the market – that a certification aligned to business needs will have direct impact on the production of goods and services by the applicants, especially when it comes to software development.

These training today represent a tremendous professional differentiation and the possibility of an unprecedented value. Professionals in general and IT in particular, have realized this and are chasing. The first-movers will certainly achieve the best wages and corporate positions in the market.
