SC: R$ 3 million in business in BITS
The 20 companies that participated in the Santa Catarina BITS arm of German trade fair CeBIT held in Porto Alegre from Tuesday 14 to Thursday 16, left the event with R$ 1 million in deals closed and additional R$ 2 million in partnerships that have been initiated and will be implemented in the coming months.
The group gathered companies of Florianópolis, Joinville, Blumenau and Chapecó (full list below) and went to the fair through a project spearheaded by Sebrae-SC Secretariat and Sustainable Economic Development (SDS) state that the participation of companies bancaram in a stand of 150 square meters.
As the state coordinator IT Sebrae-SC, Josiane Minuzzi, each company had 15-20 business meetings pre-scheduled appointments with potential buyers within their areas of interest and, in total, 378 contacts were made with actual commercial managers TI
“It was the first time we partake of Bits, which foster new business, get in touch with trends and opportunities for use of technology in various fields of activity,” points Josiane.
Data released by Sebrae-SC report that while the segment DETI should submit yearly high of 9% to 14% in 2013 to Santa Catarina is expected to expand between 20% and 30%, as has happened in the last three years.

Currently, Brazil is the fifth largest market for IT, with a goal of reaching the third position until 2022.
According BRASSCOM, the next ten years it is estimated that the segment move around R$ 430 billion.
Already the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation shows that only the Brazilian software market is expected to grow 400% in the same period.
” Participation in events such as Bit is a bid to foster the growth of companies. Only this first participation , 14 of the 20 companies that took conducted business with the possibility of effectiveness within six months , an average of £ 75,000 per company “, concludes Josiane.
The way the companies to the fair was the first activity in the field of events vertical IT program SC @ New Economy , which involved a total of 120 companies identified cities as centers of state technology .
The initiative is aimed at MSEs annual turnover of up to R$ 3.6 million .
The program not only focuses on IT : in all, it’s eleven sectors benefit from a budget of R$ 72 million for activities in 2012-2014.
