What skills IT professionals should add in their “toolboxes” in the next twelve months? To find out the answer to that question, the CIO.com asked experts and tried to direct the behavior and interest organizations in the search for employees – indicating which are the most popular and well paid. The idea, therefore, is also to help in directing career to the medium and long term.
David Foote, analyst and head of a consulting firm that bears his name, has prepared a questionnaire and collected information from the 734 professionals. Below, it lists the most valued areas next year.
1. Cloud – Adopting cloud technologies follows a steady climb. Gradually, the model goes to a leading role within organizations, consulting with some indicating that cloud is already part of the routine 90% of IT departments worldwide.

6. Management, process and methodology – Know figure project management elements as a key element in IT tasks. The expert believes that this will remain a valued skill next year. The same goes for the knowledge of some methodologies that help ensure supplies and improvements in technology operations.
