IT industry: growth should be boosted by business solutions
The year 2015 promises to be one of the most challenging to Brazil. After a short period of growth, our economy has returned to stagnate. The holding of the World Cup and the 2014 elections meant that it was a year of uncertainty, as if everything is suspended. Now it’s time for the truth.
Fortunately for the IT sector, the forecast is positive. It is estimated that growth in this area is 2.4% over the previous year, reaching $ 3.8 trillion mark, according to Gartner, institute specializing in research and consulting. For a year the vast majority of sectors expect stagnation or even decline, the data is somewhat positive.
Much of the positive outlook is due to the fact that some sectors are benefited by times of economic uncertainty. It is possible that the IT industry as a whole is one of them. This is because, in the midst of economic difficulties, companies need to find ways to reduce costs and streamline operations. The technology certainly is a great ally.
No wonder that only the enterprise software market to reach an amount of $ 335 billion, an increase of 5.5% compared to 2014. The forecast shows a strong tendency to seek new IT solutions to solve old problems management.
A good example is the issue of document scanning. Many companies need to have specific employees only for bureaucratic function to store and save paper. In addition to the cost that it generates for the company, there is still a matter of physical space. You lose more rooms and rooms simply to stack boxes. Today’s technology already allows scanning documents, completely eliminating the need for paper. Files can be stored in digital safes, in XML format, and accessed from any mobile device.
Another area that requires attention, and technology can help, is to issue and manage invoices. In Brazil, all companies have an obligation by law to store invoices issued for a period of five years. To do this simply and not excessively burdening the organization, nothing better than having a software that has this purpose. For a fixed monthly amount, the company organizes the entire area, staying quiet for audits or any other problem with the tax authorities.
These and many other examples show that the search for technology in business, regardless of size or sector, is no going back. The computerization of processes should be a strong ally of management, reducing costs and increasing controls. Certainly one area that should continue to grow much this and future years.
